EcuadorMall carries a wide variety of Panama hats in different styles, sizes and grades. The first step is to choose the style of hat that you are looking for.
The style choice is a personal matter, depending on your taste and where and how you plan to use the hat. We suggest visiting our style section to identify the hat that is just right for you.
We offer fedoras, ausins, colonials and chemise hats for men and brisa, bully and croshet hats for women.
2. Size
Our hats are custom made and thus we can fit them right to your size. Please follow the instructions below to identify the correct size of your hat:
- Take a measuring tape and place it around your head (do not hold the tape tight). Take the measurement.
- Using the table below, find the hat size that matches your own.

3. Grade
Panama hats are made of fine straw fibers woven into a tight mesh. The amount of straw fibers woven in one square inch is called grade and it identifies the quality of the hat, the higher the grade the higher the quality of the hat.
EcuadorMall offers you a wide variety of grades for each style of panama hat:
- Cuenca hats come in the following grades:Subfine, Fine and Extrafine (the subfine being the one with fewer fibers per square inch, and extrafine having the most fibers)
- Montecristi hats come in the following grades: 7-8, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 19-20.
